The exhibition Lucio Fontana | Osvaldo Borsani and therefore the catalogue, aims to retrace the creative partnership between the architect designer Osvaldo Borsani and the famous artist Lucio Fontana, through the highest material results of this collaboration which saw the light between the end of the 1940s, the moment of Fontana’s return to Italy, and the 1950s. The catalog collects the works presented during the exhibition, many of which belong to the creation of Casa G: an exhibition space as well as one of the rare living environments created by the joint ingenuity of Borsani and Fontana. Thus, a comparison takes place between these two figures capable of moving beyond the creative boundaries of architecture and art respectively, to arrive at a new destination in which the constraints and boundaries of the different disciplines have been overcome to give rise to new research transversal and creative.
The realization of this ambitious project was made possible thanks to the fundamental contribution and support of the Osvaldo Borsani Archive, Tommaso Fantoni, Giacomo Fantoni and the collectors who generously shared their precious works with the public, as well as with the scientific support of the Fondazione Lucio Fontana, Milan.
